Issued 3:00 AM NST 18 December 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the eastern Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 996 mb located over southwestern
Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday low 994 mb located near Prince Edward
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 18 December 2014 A low pressure system over Southwestern Nova Scotia is forecast to
intensify and track northeastward to lie near Prince Edward Island by
later this morning, then cross Eastern Newfoundland on Friday
morning. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop over
southern waters ahead of this system today. On Friday, strong to gale
force southwesterlies will develop south of the low and strong to
gale force northerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, the Northern
Grand Banks, and the Southeastern Grand Banks.
