Issued 3:30 PM NST 13 February 2016 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 984 mb located over Banquereau.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday low 963 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:14 PM NST 13 February 2016 An intense low pressure system over Banquereau will continue to track
northeastward to lie over Funk Island Bank by early Sunday morning
and northeast of Belle Isle Bank Sunday afternoon. Gale force
easterlies ahead of the low will back to strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies in its wake. Meanwhile, gale to storm force
southerlies east of the low will veer to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. Winds will diminish Sunday as the low
exits the district.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters and
Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East
Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank
and Funk Island Bank - northwestern half.
