Issued 10:00 AM NDT 23 March 2017 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 987 mb located over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 975 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday approaching ridge located west of the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:48 AM NDT 23 March 2017 A low pressure system over Eastern Newfoundland will intensify as it
moves to lie east of Belle Isle Bank tonight. North of the low's
track, strong to gale force northeasterly winds will intensify to
gale to storm force northwesterlies this afternoon. South of the
track, strong to gale force southeasterly winds will shift to strong
to gale force southwesterlies in its wake. All winds will diminish
Friday as the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half and Belle Isle Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
