Issued 10:00 AM NST 28 January 2015 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located over southern Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 999 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:06 AM NST 28 January 2015 A warm frontal trough, extending from a low pressure system over
Southwestern Nova Scotia, will move slowly northward across
Newfoundland today. Gale force east to northeasterly winds ahead of
this trough will shift to strong to gale force southerlies in its
wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast and Northeast
Coast - Cape St. John and south.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters, the Northeast
Coast - north of Cape St. John and the Belle Isle Bank.
