Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NST 18 November 2017 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Mid Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 a.m. NST today departing trough located northwest of the
Marine District.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 984 mb located southeast of the Marine
District.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Sunday low located east of Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM NST 18 November 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Mid Labrador Coast will depart the
marine district to the northwest today. Strong to gale force
northeasterly winds over northern waters in the wake of this feature
will diminish tonight as the trough moves away.

Meanwhile, a complex area of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the southeast today. This system will spread gale force
northeasterlies across southeastern waters this afternoon and
evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea - southern half.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for the Northwest Labrador Sea.
