Issued 4:00 AM NST 24 February 2017 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. NST today intensifying trough located over central
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday quasi-stationary trough located south
of Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 AM NST 24 February 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Central Labrador Sea will intensify
as it tracks eastward tonight to lie south of Greenland by this
evening. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure along the Labrador coast
will remain quasistationary as it builds and strengthens. As a
result, gale force northwesterlies will spread throughout the
Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
