Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:45 AM NST 10 December 2016 An intense low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will drift
slowly northeastward early this morning before stalling northeast of
the district. Gale to storm force northwesterlies are expected across
northern waters throughout the forecast period. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies are expected over the remainder of the district.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters, East Coast -
north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, and Southeastern Grand
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
