Issued 8:00 PM AST 7 February 2016 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing cold front located over
Banquereau.

At midnight AST tonight deepening low 981 mb located off Cape
Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday low 973 mb located near West Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:56 PM AST 7 February 2016 A cold front currently crossing Banquereau will move to lie east of
the district later this evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies
ahead of the front veer to strong to gale force northwesterlies
behind it.

A rapidly intensifying low pressure system off the Carolina coast
will move northeastward tonight and Monday to lie over the slope
waters Monday evening. Gale to storm force northeasterlies are
expected as the low approaches.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Lurcher..Browns Bank..George's bank..Southwestern shore..Lahave
Bank..West Scotian Slope..Eastern shore..Sable..East Scotian Slope..
Banquereau and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters. Freezing spray warnings remain in effect for
Fourchu..Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
A combination of pounding surf, and a run of higher than normal
tides, will result in higher than normal water levels along the south
shore of Nova Scotia at high tide Monday evening and again on Tuesday
morning.
