Issued 3:00 AM AST 6 February 2016 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. AST today intensifying low 994 mb located near
Sable Island.
By 8:00 a.m. AST today departing low 979 mb located over
Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1016 mb located over James Bay.
By 11:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing low 1004 mb located near
Anticosti Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:43 AM AST 6 February 2016 A low pressure centre over Sable Island at forecast time will move
through Newfoundland this morning as it draws away from Atlantic
Canada marine waters. Gale to storm force southerlies become gale to
storm force northerly in its wake. Meanwhile a low pressure centre
over James Bay this morning will pass to the north of the Gulf of St
Lawrence on Sunday. A cold front will trail this system. Stong to
gale force southwesterlies ahead of the front veer to strong to gale
force northwesterlies behind it.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope..Banquereau..Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
Gale warnings are in effect for remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait and all of the Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
