Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 26 March 2015 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 996 mb located over central Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Friday departing low 990 mb located northeast of
Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:59 PM NDT 26 March 2015 A ridge of high pressure southeast of the marine district will remain
quasi-stationary through the forecast period. Meanwhile, a low
pressure system over Central Labrador will continue to track eastward
to lie northeast of the Belle Isle Bank by Friday afternoon.
Strong to gale force south to southwesterlies will spread eastward
across southern waters tonight between these features. Winds will
ease tomorrow over western and northern waters while strong to gale
force southwesterlies will continue over the Grand Banks and adjacent
waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south and the Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island
Bank.
