Issued 8:00 PM NST 21 February 2017 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 996 mb located south of the Grand
Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 993 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:48 PM NST 21 February 2017 An intensifying low pressure system will approach the Grand Banks
from the south on Wednesday. Strong to gale force north to
northeasterlies can be expected over southern waters ahead of this
feature.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for the
Southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
