Issued 3:00 AM NDT 22 September 2017 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary Post-tropical Storm Jose
985 mb located at 39.5N 68.5W.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 1004 mb located over
central Quebec.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday low 992 mb located over central Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday dissipating ridge located over the
southern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM NDT 22 September 2017 A low pressure system will develop over Quebec today and then deepen
as it moves eastward across Labrador tonight and early Saturday.
It will then cross the northern marine district later on Saturday.
Over northern waters, gale force southwesterlies ahead of the low
will veer to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.

As of 3:00 AM NDT post-tropical storm Jose is estimated to be at 39.5
north 68.5 west with a central pressure of 985 MB, maximum wind
speeds of 45 knots, and is quasi-stationary. Jose is forecast to
slowly weaken as it remains nearly stationary off the Eastern
Seaboard through Sunday. Since Jose has been declared post-tropical
and is not expected to have any impact on Newfoundland waters, this
will be the final information statement on this system.
