Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:54 PM NST 26 November 2015 An intensifying low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea
will track eastward to lie off the southern tip of Greenland by
Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, an elongated trough of low pressure
extending from Quebec to the Southern United States will slowly
approach Gulf waters. Additionally, a very strong area of high
pressure over the Southeastern Grand Banks will slowly drift
southeastward. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds between
these features will persist through Friday. Storm force
southwesterlies can be expected tonight over the Strait of Belle
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle. Gale warnings are in effect for Northeast
Gulf, Gulf - Port au Port, East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis,
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
