Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 994 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:22 PM NDT 26 September 2017 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will track eastward to
lie just east of Funk Island Bank tonight. Strong south to
southwesterlies ahead of this low will shift to strong to gale force
northeast to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank - southern half.

At 3:30 PM NDT hurricane Lee was located near 29.9 north, 54.1 west.
Maximum sustained winds were 90 knots and the central pressure was
975 millibars.

Lee is drifting westward and is not expected to affect the marine
district of Atlantic Canada.

At 3:30 PM NDT hurricane Maria was located near 33.8 north, 73.3
west. Maximum sustained winds were 65 knots and the central pressure
was 970 millibars.

Maria is slowly moving northward and may affect southernmost waters
late this week into this weekend.
