Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:57 AM NST 19 February 2017 A low pressure system approaching Newfoundland from the west will
cross Southeastern Newfoundland this afternoon to lie east of Funk
Island Bank by tonight. Strong to gale force southerly winds are
forecast for southern and eastern waters ahead of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank - eastern half and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
