Issued 3:00 AM AST 27 February 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Great Lakes.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located over the central Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:38 AM AST 27 February 2017 Strong to gale force westerly winds in the wake of a trough of low
pressure east of the district will briefly diminish this morning as a
weak ridge of high pressure moves through the region.

A second trough of low pressure currently over the Great Lakes will
approach from the west to lie over the Gulf of St Lawrence this
evening. Strengthening southwesterlies ahead of the trough will reach
gale force over most northern waters this afternoon. Over most Gulf
of St Lawrence waters northwest gales will develop behind the trough
this evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
