Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NST 11 December 2016 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 959 mb located east of Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday quasi-stationary low 971 mb located over
southwestern Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:47 AM NST 11 December 2016 An intense and slow-moving low pressure system just east of the
district will maintain gale to storm force north to northwesterlies
over most of the district today and tonight. Winds will begin to
subside somewhat later on Monday as the low begins to weaken over the
Southwest Coast of Greenland.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador
Sea - southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
