Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:49 PM NDT 9 October 2015 An intense trough of low pressure stretching across the East Labrador
Sea will move north of the marine district this evening. Gale force
southeasterlies ahead of this system shift to strong to gale force
west to northwesterlies in its wake.
A low pressure system will strengthen into an intense fall storm as
it tracks across the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Saturday, then over the
South Labrador Sea Saturday night. Gale force easterlies will develop
across southern waters later on Saturday ahead of the low, then shift
to gale to storm force northwesterlies along southern coastal waters
in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
South Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except North Labrador Coast.
