Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 23 October 2016 Tonight and Monday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 985 mb located northwest of the
St. Lawrence River.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Monday weakening low 991 mb located west of
Anticosti Island.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough from low located over the Great
Northern Peninsula.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Monday trough from low located over the South
Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:00 PM NDT 23 October 2016 A low pressure system northwest of the Gaspé Peninsula will slowly
move southeastward tonight. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure
extending eastward from the low across the Great Northern Peninsula
will move to lie over the South Labrador Coast tonight. Strong to
gale force northeasterlies north of the trough will shift to strong
northerlies late Monday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast and South
Labrador Sea.
