Issued 9:30 AM NST 24 February 2017 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying trough located over southeastern
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday quasi-stationary trough located south
of Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 AM NST 24 February 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Southeastern Labrador Sea will
intensify as it tracks eastward today to lie south of Greenland by
this evening. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure along the Labrador
coast will remain quasi-stationary as it strengthens. As a result,
gale force northwesterlies will spread throughout the Labrador Sea
today and tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
