By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday quasi-stationary low 985 mb located over
northwestern Labrador Sea.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday trough located east of the Marine District.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:16 PM NDT 29 April 2017 A trough of low pressure currently lying off the Labrador coast will
move slowly northward and become nearly stationary tonight and Sunday
as a deepening low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea.
A second trough will approach from the west tonight and intensify as
it moves eastward through the district on Sunday. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will develop over all waters in the wake of
these two features.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Coast and Belle Isle
