Issued 10:00 AM NST 16 January 2017 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1003 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 998 mb located northeast of
the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located over the Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 1003 mb located west of Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 1002 mb located off the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM NST 16 January 2017 An intensifying low pressure system just east of the Northern Grand
Banks this morning will continue to move off to the
East this afternoon. Gale force northwesterlies can be expected
immediately behind this low today.

Another low pressure system approaching from the west will track
across Northern Newfoundland overnight then move off the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland on Tuesday. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to gale force
north to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and the southwestern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southeastern Grand Banks.
