Issued 8:00 PM NST 16 January 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located from Banquereau to Belle
Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 1004 mb located northwest of Anticosti
Island.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 1004 mb located off the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM NST 16 January 2017 A low pressure system approaching from the west will track across
Northern Newfoundland overnight then move off the Northeast Coast of
Newfoundland on Tuesday. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to gale force
north to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and the Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast,
South Coast, Northeast Coast, and Funk Island Bank.
