aux Basques.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Saturday low 987 mb located over the southern
Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located from the Southwest Coast
of Newfoundland to the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Saturday dissipating trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over southern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM NST 2 December 2016 A low pressure system southeast of Port aux Basques will continue
very slowly eastward to lie over the Southern Grand Banks by Saturday
evening. Strong to gale force east or southeasterly winds ahead of
this system will shift to strong to gale force northeasterlies
tonight and persist throughout the day on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, and the South
Coast.
