Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NST 20 November 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over eastern Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing trough located over Labrador
Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 1002 mb located south
of the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Tuesday deepening low 984 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:24 PM NST 20 November 2017 A low pressure system will develop just south of the Grand Banks this
evening then intensify as it tracks east of the district overnight
into Tuesday. The low will continue to deepen as it begins to
retrograde westward to lie just off the eastern edge of Funk Island
Bank Tuesday night. Gale force northwesterlies will develop over
eastern waters on Tuesday as the low strengthens east of the
district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern
Grand Banks.
