Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Banquereau.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:37 AM AST 27 February 2017 Strong to gale force westerly winds still affecting eastern waters
will diminish early this afternoon as a weak ridge of high pressure
moves through the region.

A trough of low pressure currently over Quebec will approach to lie
over Banquereau after midnight. Strengthening southwesterlies ahead
of the trough will reach gale force over most northern waters later
this afternoon. Over most Gulf of St Lawrence waters northwest gales
will develop behind the trough this evening. Winds will gradually
diminish on Tuesday as another ridge of high pressure moves across
the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
