Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:51 PM AST 9 February 2016 A low pressure system over Newfoundland will continue to move
northeastward tonight. Gale force northeasterlies over northern gulf
of Saint Lawrence waters will persist tonight and diminish Wednesday
morning. Meanwhile another low pressure system will rapidly cross
slope waters tonight into Wednesday morning. Gale to storm force
winds will develop south of the track of the low with strong to gale
force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan southeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope southeastern half..Banquereau..Laurentian Fan
northwestern half and Anticosti. Freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
