Issued 8:00 PM AST 26 February 2017 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located from Labrador to Laurentian
Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Monday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Monday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:29 PM AST 26 February 2017 A trough of low pressure extending from Labrador to Laurentian Fan at
forecast time will move east to lie out of the district after
midnight. Moderate to strong southwesterlies near the trough increase
to strong to gale force westerlies behind it. Winds across the
district will briefly diminish Monday morning as a weak ridge of high
pressure moves through.

A second trough of low pressure currently over the Great Lakes will
approach from the west to lie over the Gulf of St Lawrence Monday
evening. Strengthening southwesterlies ahead of the trough are now
expected to reach gale force over most northern waters Monday
afternoon. Over most Gulf of St Lawrence waters northwest gales will
develop behind the second trough on Monday evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
