Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:55 AM NDT 24 October 2016 Northeasterly gales over the northern part of the Belle Isle Bank
will diminish this morning as a trough of low pressure extending
across northern waters begins to weaken.
Meanwhile, a developing low pressure system approaching from the
southwest is forecast to lie north of the Grand Banks by Tuesday
morning. A brief period of south to southeasterly gales is forecast
to spread over areas to the south of its track.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Belle Isle Bank - northern
half, Northern Grand Banks and Southwestern Grand Banks.
