Issued 3:30 PM NST 8 February 2016 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 978 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday low 979 mb located south of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough from 978 mb low located south of
the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Tuesday trough from 979 mb low located on a line
east-west over the northern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:29 PM NST 8 February 2016 An intense low pressure system south of Nova Scotia and an associated
frontal trough lying south of the Grand Banks will track
northeastward to cross Southeastern Newfoundland on Tuesday evening.
Gale to storm force east to northeasterlies will develop over most
waters this evening into Tuesday morning ahead of this system and
shift to gale force southwesterlies to its south.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southwest Coast, South Coast, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except the
Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
