Issued 3:00 AM NST 9 December 2016 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 989 mb located over
eastern Banquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 954 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM NST 9 December 2016 A low pressure system over Eastern Banquereau will intensify as it
crosses the Eastern Avalon early this morning. The low will then
track northeastward across Funk Island Bank to lie northeast of the
district by Saturday morning. Gale to storm force southeasterlies are
expected ahead of the low while gale to storm force southwest to
westerlies are expected in its wake over eastern waters.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and the Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast.
