Snow and ice pellets beginning near noon changing to rain and fog this evening. Risk of freezing rain late this afternoon and this evening. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation and in fog.

Temperatures minus 7 to minus 3 rising to plus 5 near midnight.

By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located east of Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from Quebec to the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing ridge located over Labrador

At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located southwest of the Marine
By 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over eastern Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NST 27 January 2015 An intense trough of low pressure just north of Belle Isle Bank will
track quickly off to the east today. Gale to storm force west to
northwesterlies south of the trough will diminish today as it moves

A warm frontal trough, extending from an intense low pressure system
approaching the Maritimes, will move slowly northward across the
Grand Banks today and across Newfoundland tonight and Wednesday.
Gale force east to northeasterly winds will develop ahead of the
trough then shift to strong to gale force southerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank - northeastern half. Gale warnings are in effect all
remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
