Showers beginning late overnight and ending near noon Tuesday. Fog patches forming near noon Tuesday and dissipating Tuesday evening.

coast near 5150N 5615W to Newfoundland near 5130N 5615W.

No confirmed icebergs except less than 10 icebergs northeast of the
iceberg limit.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 25 September 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday deepening low 1002 mb located north of
Anticosti Island.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 996 mb located over Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM NDT 25 September 2017 A low pressure system will cross northern Gulf waters overnight and
track eastward to lie over Funk Island Bank Tuesday afternoon. Strong
south to southwesterlies ahead of this low will switch to strong to
gale force northeast to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank - southern half.

At 8:00 PM NDT hurricane Lee was located near 30.6 north, 50.6 west.
Maximum sustained winds were 75 knots and the central pressure was
983 millibars.

Lee is drifting westward and is not expected to affect the marine
district of Atlantic Canada.

At 8:00 PM NDT hurricane Maria was located near 31.7 north, 73.1
west. Maximum sustained winds were 70 knots and the central pressure
was 966 millibars.

Maria is slowly moving northward and may affect southernmost waters
late this week into this weekend.
