Issued 3:30 PM NST 1 March 2017 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 992 mb located over southern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday departing low 987 mb located over eastern
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday approaching low 978 mb located over the
western Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:36 PM NST 1 March 2017 A low pressure system approaching from Southern Quebec will move to
lie over the Southern Gulf of St. Lawrence this evening then over the
Funk Island Bank Thursday afternoon. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies or northeasterlies are forecast with this feature.

A second low pressure system will approach the district from the
southwest Thursday afternoon. Gale force southwesterlies or
northeasterlies are expected ahead of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Belle Isle Bank - eastern half.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
Port - northwestern half, Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle Bank -
western half.
