Issued 3:00 AM NDT 25 March 2017 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located from Lake Melville to the
Gaspe Peninsula.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1014 mb located south of
Cape Breton Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday low 999 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Grand
Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:54 AM NDT 25 March 2017 A low pressure system will develop south of Nova Scotia this morning
and track eastward to cross the Southern Grand Banks tonight. As it
moves just east of the Grand Banks and becomes nearly stationary it
will rapidly intensify. Gale to storm force northwesterlies will
develop over southern and eastern waters behind this low.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank and the southern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
