Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM AST 4 March 2015 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday ridge located on a line east-west over
southern Ontario.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located on a line east-west over
the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM AST 4 March 2015 A trough east of the marine district extending from a low pressure
system over Northern Quebec will continue to track eastward this
evening. Strong to gale force westerlies in its wake will gradually
diminish this evening.

A ridge of high pressure will begin to build over the Maritimes on
Thursday. Ahead of this ridge strong to gale force northwesterlies
will develop over the Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Cabot Strait..Gulf-Magdalen northeastern half and Anticosti.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for eastern shore..Sable..
Fourchu..Banquereau and Cabot Strait.
