Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 13 October 2015 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today trough located over Maine extending
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday trough located over the Strait of
Belle Isle extending southeastward.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Wednesday trough located from Anticosti Island
to Cape Cod.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM ADT 13 October 2015 A low pressure system moving from Quebec into Labrador on Wednesday
will give strong to gale force west to northwesterlies to the
Northwest Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Anticosti-western half for Wednesday evening.

Outlook for the start up of the Upper Bay of Fundy lobster fishery.

Today..Winds southeast 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 20 late
this evening and to southwest 25 before Wednesday morning. Seas zero
to 1 metre today increasing to 1 to 2 metres overnight and becoming
choppy overnight when the winds are against the ebbing tide.

Wednesday..Winds southwest 25 knots diminishing to 15 to 20 late in
the evening then veering to northwest 10 to 15 overnight into
Thursday. Seas 2 metres diminishing to near 1 overnight. Choppy
conditions in the early morning and again in the afternoon when the
winds are against the ebbing tide.

Thursday..Winds northwest 10 to 15 increasing to westerly 15 to 20
knots in the afternoon. Seas less than 1 metre building to 1 metre in
the afternoon. Waves becoming choppy in the afternoon when winds are
against the Ebb tide.
