Issued 8:00 PM ADT 21 July 2017 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located over Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday departing trough located over the
southeastern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 11:28 PM ADT 21 July 2017 Multiple thunderstorms are affecting the marine district this
evening.

The thunderstorm which brought gale to storm force gusts near Prince
Edward Island earlier this evening has weakened as it continues to
move onshore to Cape Breton Island. Although strong wind gusts are
expected near midnight, gusts reaching or exceeding 35 knots are no
longer expected with this thunderstorm.

A new thunderstorm has developed over the western half of the
Northumberland Strait and is capable of producing wind gusts near 35
knots near midnight tonight.

The line of thunderstorms crossing the Grand Manan and Fundy marine
regions has weakened and is no longer expected to produce gusts near
or exceeding 35 knots. Strong wind gusts will remain with this line
until the line moves onshore near midnight tonight.

Marine interests are advised that a squall watch is in effect for
The Northumberland Strait - western half. Marine interests are also
advised that the squall watch has been ended for Fundy, Grand Manan,
and the Northumberland Strait - eastern half.
