By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located south of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today high 1026 mb located south of Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday high 1021 mb located over the East Coast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:14 PM NST 18 January 2017 A trough of low pressure over the Grand Banks will move to lie south
of the district this evening. Strong to gale force north to
northwesterlies are forecast in the wake of this feature. Winds will
gradually diminish tonight as a region of high pressure moves over
Newfoundland.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for the Northeast Coast.
