By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 985 mb located over the southern
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line east-west
over the South Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday dissipating trough from low located on a
line northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today dissipating ridge located on a line east-west
over southern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:54 AM NST 3 December 2016 A low pressure system just south of Newfoundland will continue very
slowly southeastward to lie over the Southern Grand Banks by this
evening. Strong to gale force northeasterly winds the wake of this
system will persist until this evening over western waters and
continue into Sunday over southern waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East
Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Southwestern Grand Banks.
