Issued 3:30 PM NST 8 December 2016 Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST Friday intensifying low 992 mb located over
Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday intensifying low 965 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over the Northeast Coast
of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located east of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:12 PM NST 8 December 2016 A low will approach from the southwest tonight, tracking over the
Eastern Avalon Peninsula early Friday morning. The low will then
intensify as it tracks northeastward across Funk Island Bank on
Friday. Gale to storm force southeasterlies are expected ahead of the
low while gale to storm force southwest to westerlies are expected in
its wake over eastern waters.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in
effect for South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and the Southern
Grand Banks.
