Issued 3:00 AM ADT 19 April 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Saturday ridge located over the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today departing low 999 mb located near the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Saturday approaching trough located from Quebec
to New England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:46 AM ADT 19 April 2024 A low pressure system near the Grand Banks will continue to bring
strong to gale force northerly winds to eastern waters this morning.
Winds will diminish by this afternoon as the low weakens and departs
to the east.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.

Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.

Today..Winds north 20 to 25 knots diminishing to north 15 this
afternoon and to light this evening. Sea state 1 to 2 metres
diminishing to 1 or less late in the day.

Saturday..Southerly 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 in the
afternoon. Seas near 1 metre.
