northeast-southwest over Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing trough located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NDT 1 October 2016 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will deepen as it
moves southeastward to approach northeastern waters this afternoon.
Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough veer to strong to gale
force northwesterlies behind it. Winds diminish early Sunday morning
as the trough moves to lie well to the east of the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank - eastern half and Funk Island Bank - eastern half.
