northeast-southwest over the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today trough located southeast of the Marine
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary high 1032 mb located from
Quebec to the Maritimes.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:51 AM NDT 1 October 2016 A trough of low pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will deepen
as it sweeps southeastward today. Strong southwesterlies developing
ahead of the trough this morning veer to strong to gale force
northwesterlies behind it. Winds will begin to diminish tonight as
the trough moves to lie further southeast of the district.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for the
South Labrador Sea.
