Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southeast 25 to 35 early this morning and to southeast 35 to 45 near noon. Wind diminishing to south 30 near midnight then increasing to west 35 to 45 late overnight.

Snow beginning this morning changing to rain or freezing rain and fog banks this afternoon then to flurries after midnight. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation and in fog banks.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Outside the ice edge risk of freezing spray late this morning. Moderate at times severe freezing spray beginning Monday morning.

Temperatures minus 12 to minus 4 rising to minus 1 to plus 3 this afternoon then falling to minus 12 to minus 4 Monday morning.

over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located east of the East Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 986 mb located over Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday low 964 mb located over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 AM NST 26 February 2017 An intense low pressure system will move over Western Labrador today
and over the Labrador Sea tonight. Gale to storm force southeasterly
winds ahead of the system will shift to gale force westerly for all
waters.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
