Issued 3:00 AM NDT 26 September 2017 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the northern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1002 mb located north of
Anticosti Island.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 994 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching ridge located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:43 AM NDT 26 September 2017 A low pressure system will cross northern Gulf waters this morning
and track eastward to lie just east of Funk Island Bank this evening.
Strong south to southwesterlies ahead of this low will shift to
strong to gale force northeast to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank - southern half.

At 3:00 AM NDT hurricane Lee was located near 30.2 north, 52.2 west.
Maximum sustained winds were 80 knots and the central pressure was
979 millibars.

Lee is drifting westward and is not expected to affect the marine
district of Atlantic Canada.

At 3:00 AM NDT hurricane Maria was located near 32.5 north, 73.2
west. Maximum sustained winds were 70 knots and the central pressure
was 969 millibars.

Maria is slowly moving northward and may affect southernmost waters
late this week into this weekend.
