Issued 10:00 AM NDT 26 September 2017 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the eastern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1001 mb located over the
Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 994 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching ridge located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM NDT 26 September 2017 A low pressure system will cross the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland
today and track eastward to lie just east of Funk Island Bank this
evening. Strong south to southwesterlies ahead of this low will shift
to strong to gale force northeast to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank - southern half.

At 10:00 AM NDT hurricane Lee was located near 30.0 north, 53.3 west.
Maximum sustained winds were 85 knots and the central pressure was
977 millibars.

Lee is drifting westward and is not expected to affect the marine
district of Atlantic Canada.

At 10:00 AM NDT hurricane Maria was located near 33.4 north, 73.2
west. Maximum sustained winds were 65 knots and the central pressure
was 970 millibars.

Maria is slowly moving northward and may affect southernmost waters
late this week into this weekend.
