Issued 3:00 AM NDT 30 April 2017 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 986 mb located over northwestern
Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday weakening low located over southeastern
Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located east of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:37 AM NDT 30 April 2017 A low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will drift slowly
southeastward and begin to weaken tonight. Meanwhile, a trough of low
pressure over the Eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence at forecast time will
move eastward across the marine district today. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop over all waters in the wake of these two
features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, East Coast, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
