Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:44 PM NST 17 January 2017 A ridge of high pressure over Northern Labrador will move to lie over
the Labrador Sea by Wednesday afternoon. Strong to gale force north
to northwesterly winds ahead of the high diminish light to moderate
in it vicinity.
A low pressure system over Hudson Bay will move to lie over Northern
Quebec on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerly winds will
develop over northern waters ahead of this low.
Marine interests are advised the gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast and Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all open waters.
