Snow changing to a few flurries overnight. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Freezing spray warning in effect.

Over open water moderate freezing spray becoming severe this morning then becoming moderate Wednesday morning.

Temperatures minus 6 to zero falling to minus 18 to minus 10 Wednesday morning.

Issued 3:00 AM NST 3 March 2015 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 966 mb located over the
Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 950 mb located south of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday ridge located from Laurentian Fan
to Labrador.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Wednesday intensifying trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:58 AM NST 3 March 2015 A deepening low pressure system over the Northeast Coast of
Newfoundland is forecast to track northeastward to lie south of
Greenland by tonight. Southeasterly and northeasterly gales ahead of
this system will shift to gale to hurricane force westerlies to
northwesterlies in its wake.

A trough of low pressure is forecast to sweep eastward across the
Maritimes on Wednesday to lie over Newfoundland by Wednesday evening.
Gale to storm force southerly winds are forecast to develop over
southern waters ahead of this trough beginning Wednesday afternoon.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Storm warnings
are in effect for the Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, East
Coast, Northeast Coast, and the Northern Grand Banks. Gale warnings
are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southeastern Grand Banks.
