Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 25 September 2017 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today approaching low 1004 mb located west of
Labrador.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday trough from 1000 mb low located north
of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday trough from 994 mb low located from the
Avalon Peninsula to Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM ADT 25 September 2017 At 3:00 PM ADT hurricane Lee was located near 30.6 north, 50.2 west
or about 746 nautical miles east of Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds
were 80 knots, the central pressure was 980 millibars. Lee is moving
west at about 2 knots.

Lee is not expected to affect Canadian forecast waters at this time.

At 3:00 PM ADT hurricane Maria was located near 31.4 north, 73.0 west
or about 303 nautical miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras. Maximum
sustained winds were 70 knots, central pressure was 966 millibars.
Maria is moving north at 6 knots.

Maria is slowly moving northward towards Cape Hatteras then will head
northeast and approach the Southern Grand Banks late this week.
Minimal effects are expected except possibly strong winds for
southernmost waters.
